This scene was not in my planning. When I wrote part 1: Moonlight at Dusk, I was listening to the hymn I shared with you, and I began to have the characters sing.
Then, I decided to add Liora to the scene, a character who did not yet have a name at that time, and whom I did not think I would reuse.
Then, I started part 2, which was supposed to be what you will read next, and I thought: all these characters are elves, scholars of language, scholars of the universe, poets… and I have not yet introduced the Prince of Shadows. And the idea came to me.
I then wrote the draft of the song in English and gave it to ChatGPT. The result was spectacular, but I was not satisfied. So I reworked it and gave it back to GPT four times. Then, I had it translated to French and reworked it 12 times.
I spent two whole evenings on it. This is the most revised section of the entire novel. It was a lot of work, but I had a blast.
