Introduction

Dungeons & Dragons

I discovered Dungeons & Dragons during the summer of the year 2000, upon the release of the 3rd edition. Normally, I spent my summers outdoors, exploring the forest and riding my bike, but that summer, I found myself in a very small, enclosed basement.

Following that transformative summer, a dear friend and I managed to gather almost all the 2nd edition books we could find. Among them were the Planescape books, a universe that connects all canonical Dungeons & Dragons realms together, adding others to weave an even grander tapestry. This universe was extraordinarily complex and utterly fascinating, stretching beyond anything our imaginations had ever conceived. We spent far more time delving into the lore of this universe than actually playing characters within it.

This period marked my life indelibly, leading us into countless extraordinary, memorable, and often comical adventures, which will always remain among my fondest memories.

Finally, I hope that this reading will inspire you to explore this vast, infinite, and ever-evolving universe.

Feywild

The world of Dungeons & Dragons is vast. So vast that we call it the ‘multiverse,’ a term that signifies multiple universes. This multiverse is the collective imaginary creation of millions of players, dungeon masters, content creators, storytellers, authors, official content, and many other elements. Each universe is as fascinating as the next.

In this novel, I invite you to explore my interpretation of the faerie realm known as Feywild, with the exception of the second and fourth chapter, where I transport you to another plane. The Feywild is the canonical universe of Dungeons & Dragons from which elves and faerie creatures originate.

For those seeking more information, I recommend acquiring the book Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes and watching this official video, The Eladrin of the D&D Multiverse, presented by Jeremy Crawford, an official creator.
